I've known Maralise for more than half of my life. Within that time I've grown to know her very well. That's to be expected of course since I'm married to her. She is an amazing person, mother, friend, community volunteer and partner.
Always there to listen and lend support to the many community organizations she's been a part of over the last number of years. She was on both of the Ferndale School District's Bond and Levy campaigns. Her ability to collaborate with individuals from across the community served as a vital anchor in both campaigns. Something she has shown during her time on the Ferndale City Council. Maralise is also a volunteer member of the Ferndale Auxiliary Communications Service (FACS) which is part of the Ferndale Police Department. During her time with the FACS Maralise worked with the Staff at the Police Department to form the Youth Emergency Services (YES) Club.
As a friend you'll find she'll be there for you. Always there to support you, go on a day hike up to Mt. Baker, help out with painting, tear down an old shed, or to hang out with down at Fringe Brewery. To our two boys who are growing at an exponential rate she's shown them how to be fantastic humans. Tirelessly supporting them in whatever their interests are and making sure they are respectful to one another and others. Able to balance work and home life she effortlessly takes care of us all, including our three dogs and two cats. Finally as a wife and partner I couldn't have found a more wonderfully loving person. I count myself lucky to have met her 22 years ago. Both of us moving out to Whatcom County, building our life, raising our family, and volunteering in the community has been an amazing adventure. She is the love of my life and couldn't imagine things without her.
I'm confident if reelected Maralise will be a valuable asset on the Ferndale City Council. Tirelessly supporting the City of Ferndale, listening to all sides and making informed decisions to positivity affect the community at large. Please support and reelect Maralise Fegan to City Council.
